This copies the whole skill folder into
~/.claude/skills/mc-cooking-coach-receptron/— the SKILL.md plus any scripts, reference docs, or templates the skill ships with. Safe default: works for every skill.Faster alternative (instruction-only skills)
Skips the clone and grabs only the SKILL.md file. Don't use this if the skill ships Python scripts, reference markdowns, or asset templates — they won't be downloaded and the skill will fail when it tries to load them.
Quick install (SKILL.md only)Sign up to copy - Restart Claude Code.
Quit and reopen Claude Code (or any other agent that loads from
~/.claude/skills/). New skills are picked up on startup. - Just ask Claude.
Skills auto-activate when your request matches the skill's description — no slash command needed. Trigger phrases live in the skill's own frontmatter; you can read them in the “What this skill does” section above.

When Claude uses it
Personal recipe book — save / read / update / delete cooking recipes as markdown files under `data/cooking/recipes/`, with a `README.md` index that lists every recipe. Use when the user asks to remember a recipe, look one up, or refine one.
What this skill does
Your personal cooking companion for saving, organizing, and retrieving recipes. Store recipes as simple markdown files indexed in one central catalogue. Save new recipes with a quick conversation (no complex metadata required), look up what you've made before by name or tag, tweak recipes as you refine them, and delete old ones. The skill handles file management silently—you just talk about your food.
What it does
- Save recipes from your description or a dish you've made: the skill distills ingredients, servings, and cooking times, then stores the recipe with a clean filename.
- Look up saved recipes by name or tag (e.g., "show me my vegetarian recipes") and read them formatted naturally in chat.
- Update existing recipes to adjust cook times, ingredients, or notes without losing your original save date.
- Delete recipes you no longer want, with confirmation to prevent accidents.
- Maintain a searchable index (
README.md) that groups recipes by category and shows prep time, servings, and tags at a glance. - Generate visual inspiration on request: ask "how does it look?" and the skill can create an appetizing image of the finished dish.
How to use it
Simply tell the skill when you want to remember a recipe ("save my lasagna recipe"), ask for one you've saved before ("how do I make the stuffed peppers?"), filter by tag ("show me my quick weeknight meals"), or request updates ("bump the cook time to 25 minutes"). The skill asks only essential follow-up questions—servings, prep and cook times, or clarifications on ingredients—and handles the rest behind the scenes. File paths and metadata stay hidden; you focus on the food.
