Skips the clone and grabs only the SKILL.md file. Don't use this if the skill ships Python scripts, reference markdowns, or asset templates — they won't be downloaded and the skill will fail when it tries to load them.

When Claude uses it
Use when ranking next ready work into one cc-dev Goal Packet.
What this skill does
CC-Next organizes and ranks the next ready work item into a Goal Packet for the cc-dev workflow. It focuses on sorting and prioritization without implementation, leaving the final selection to the user unless only one ready candidate exists.
What it does
- Loads candidate classes, ranking criteria, and Goal Packet structure from
PLAYBOOK.md - Archives active changes and handoffs, then evaluates open issues to identify ready candidates
- Ranks candidates according to established prioritization rules
- Presents queue truth, candidate list, and a recommendation to the user
- Routes the selected work item to cc-dev or stops the workflow as appropriate
- References the checklist in
references/checklist-contract.mdbefore pausing or exiting
How to use it
Invoke CC-Next when you're ready to organize your next work item. Provide your current task status, active changes, and any pending handoffs. CC-Next will examine task.md and Git history, review open issues and pull requests, then present ranked candidates with a recommendation. If multiple candidates exist, you choose which one to package into a Goal Packet; if only one candidate is ready, CC-Next selects it automatically. The output includes queue truth, candidates, your recommendation, the Goal Packet, and routing direction.
