What it does
Anthropic's official browser extension brings Claude directly into Chrome — chat in a side panel while you browse, and let Claude take actions on the page.
What it can do:
- See the current page and answer questions about it
- Navigate, click, scroll, and fill out forms for you
- Extract data and summarize across open tabs
- Run multi-step tasks from a single natural-language request
- Record a workflow once to teach Claude to repeat it
Requires a paid Claude plan (Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise) and signing in with your Claude account. Chrome only — not other Chromium browsers or mobile. Because it can act on web pages, review what it's doing and use it on sites you trust.
Installation
You'll need a paid Claude plan — Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise. The extension is Chrome-only (not other Chromium browsers or mobile).
- Add it to Chrome.
Opens the Chrome Web Store listing — click Add to Chrome and confirm. Chrome only (not other Chromium browsers or mobile).
- Sign in.
Requires a paid Claude plan (Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise). After installing, open the side panel and sign in with your Claude account.
- Use it.
Open the side panel on any site and describe your task — Claude reads the page and acts on it. Review what it does, especially on sites you don't fully trust.
